Jackie Collins signs deal with Fremantle

American Idol producer Fremantle Media North America has signed a one year, first-look deal with novelist Jackie Collins to develop dramas of new and existing Collins novels.
Collins, who has had successes with adaptations of her novels on ABC, NBC and CBS, said: "I am delighted to be in business with Fremantle.
"They are a forward-thinking, extremely productive and innovative company with a great creative spirit and a fine team to back everything up."
Previous Collins novels to make it to TV include Lady Boss and Lucky/Chances, which starred Sandra Bullock and Desperate Housewives actress Nicolette Sheridan.
