The second episode of ITV1's new drama Primeval dropped 800,000 viewers since its 6.7 million debut last week.
This Saturday's episode only averaged 5.9 million and a 27.5% share on Saturday night, though was still above the channel's slot average for 2006 of 5.7 million and a 26.6% share.
The episode began strong with an audience of 6.8 million viewers and a 32.2% share tuning in at 7.20pm, but gradually lost viewers over the one-hour episode, finishing with 5.7 million and a 26% share.
The BBC One Graham Norton show When Will I Be Famous? was only just behind with 5 million viewers and a 23% share, 1.3 million more than the previous week. A second results show programme at 9.55pm managed 4 million and a 19.5% share over 30-minutes.
