The late Top of the Pops host has recently been the subject of several reports claiming that he abused children he met while working at the corporation in the 1960s and '70s.
Gary Glitter was also alleged to have attacked an under-age girl in Savile's dressing room, while comedian Freddie Starr has strenuously denied claims that he tried to grope a 14-year-old girl backstage at the BBC, and welcomed a police investigation so he could clear his name.
According to The Sun, a woman has come forward following the ITV documentary on Savile to report being targeted by a separate well-known BBC figure.
The Telegraph goes on to claim that the unnamed individual appeared on a popular soap opera.
A member of the ITV production team said: "We have had a name given to us which is so far not in the public domain.
"It relates to a celebrity, a media personality, who is alive. We are urging everyone who contacts us to go straight to the police."
