The US technology giant has placed a stylish illustration on its search home page, depicting Captain Ahab in a boat hunting for the goliath white whale.

It has been posted to mark the 161st anniversary of the publication of Moby Dick in Britain, in 1851.
Also celebrating the anniversary is a project to record all 135 chapters of the novel over 135 days, including the likes of Stephen Fry, Tilda Swinton and David Cameron taking turns to give readings.
Melville's work examines various high concepts, such as good and evil, the nature of religion, and class and social status, over the tale of a voyage of the whaling ship, the Pequod.
Narrated by 'wandering sailor' Ishmael, the story focuses on Captain Ahab's obsession to get revenge on the white sperm whale Moby Dick, which bit off his leg.
