Former Virgin Radio presenter Martin Collins is reported to be the new voice of drive time on Smooth 102.2.
According to Broadcast, Collins will begin his new role as part of the station's relaunch at the end of March.
The station is due to change its format from soul and Motown for an over-35 audience, to one playing easy listening for the over-50s.
Collins will replace the station's current presenter Russell Pockett. On Virgin, Collins was replaced by ex-Madness frontman Suggs at the end of last year.
Last week, GMG announced it had recruited Graham Dene from Magic to host its breakfast show.
GMG bought three existing Saga stations, and the licence to launch another, in January this year. All four will be branded Smooth Radio to bring them in-line with the London station.
