Interactive services provider Eckoh has welcomed ITV's decision to review all its premium rate participation services - a move that has temporarily taken ITV Play off the air.
"We fully support ITV's decision to review how premium rate interactive services are used in its programmes," said Eckoh CEO Nik Philpot. "We take our obligations very seriously and as one of ITV's suppliers in this area, we will work with the broadcaster and its appointed auditor Deloitte to help them complete their review and rebuild consumer confidence in the industry as quickly as possible."
On March 1, Eckoh terminated their relationship with Richard and Judy and Saturday Kitchen-producers Cactus TV after widely publicised problems with both shows' phone-ins.
