'Castaway' sails with 4.1 million

BBC One's reality show Castaway made a comeback last night with a 4.1 million audience and a 19% share.
Though the hour-long show was below the channel's 9pm slot average for last year of 5 million and a 22.5% share.
The series first appeared in January 2000 with 7 million and a 30% share in a 9.30pm slot over 50-minutes.
Elsewhere, Channel 4's US series Ugly Betty managed 2.5 million and a 11.7% share at 9.30pm, NCIS on Five pulled in 1.8 million and 8.2%, with the final part of BBC Two's The Wild West: Gunfight at the OK Corral taking 1.7 million and an 8% share. A repeat of ITV1's Rebus at 9pm averaged 3.5 million and a 16.9% share over 90-minutes.
Prior to Castaway on BBC One, an hour-long EastEnders at 8pm pulled in 8.6 million and a 37.6% share.
BBC Two's coverage of dog show Crufts at 8pm drew in an average of 3.1 million viewers and a 13.4% share, with its audience growing from 2.5 million to 3.5 million over the hour.
