Xfm drivetime presenter Richard Bacon is leave the London station at the end of this month.

Bacon has hosted the drivetime show since August last year, following a stint presenting on Capital Radio.

The former Blue Peter and Big Breakfast presenter is currently presenting BBC Three's Castaway coverage and will present a 10-part current affairs panel show Fighting Talk: Any Other Business on Sunday nights on Radio Five Live from April 1.

Bacon said: "I want to do different types of presenting and take on different jobs. It was a difficult decision to leave Xfm because I love working there, it is the best job I have ever had. They have always given me the freedom to muck around and indulge my sense of humour."
