'The One Show' loses Sawalha for summer return

Nadia Sawalha will not co-present magazine programme The One Show when it returns in the summer.
According to Broadcast, Sawalha is pregnant, and following the birth will not reprise her co-presenter role alongside Adrian Chiles.
Though Sawalha was confirmed as a co-host by BBC One controller Peter Fincham when the show was commissioned for a full 12-month run last year, the BBC now says Chiles will present the show on his own, accompanied by regular contributors.
The weekday early evening show debuted last August over four weeks, managing an average 3.3 million viewers and an audience 19% share. The BBC has previously said it will spend £2.3 million commissioning short films for the series from regional independents.
