The 51-year-old's current contract with Channel 4 expires at the end of this year. Sky have told O'Grady's team that he would be able to continue to produce his chat show for Sky One under his company Olga TV.
"I'm flattered, gobsmacked, amazed," Paul told The Sun. "I can't believe people are interested in me."
A Channel 4 source explained: "We've been hearing rumours about this. Paul's people will make a decision in the summer, but Paul does work well in the 5pm slot on Channel 4, so we'll see whether he wants the move."
O'Grady left ITV for Channel 4 last year after executives "forgot" to renew his contract.
