Townhouse TV has expanded its production team with the appointment of Adrian Padmore as executive producer.

As well as creating and developing programmes, his main remit will be to expand the company's factual entertainment output, working alongside fellow executive producer, Jezz Wright. Wright created and produced the F1 reality series The Race, for Sky One last year.

Malcolm Allsop, managing director, Townhouse TV, said: "This appointment comes at a significant stage in the company's development. Adrian has a successful track record as a creator of winning formats and as a programme maker. We will be looking to him to generate and produce new commissions in this competitive arena."

Padmore joins Townhouse nearly ten years after he first worked as a producer for the Trisha show on ITV. Since then, he has worked as a development producer for Granada TV, an entertainment producer for the BBC and, more recently, as series producer for Channel 4.

Padmore said: "It's an exciting time for factual entertainment programming and Townhouse TV has a great track record in this genre. The company's reputation is well known and I'm looking forward to becoming an integral part of its continuing success."
