'Castaway' moved as viewers sail away

The BBC is moving reality show Castaway from its Sunday night slot after ratings dropped by nearly half.
The show, which is currently in an hour-long slot at 9pm, will now go out as three half-hour slots at 7pm on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nights from April.
This year's series, which features 13 contestants surviving on New Zealand's Great Barrier Island for three months, began with 4.1 million viewers, but last night's show only managed 2.1 million. Nightly updates on BBC Three have been pulling in around 58,000 viewers.
The original series, broadcast seven years ago, lasted a year and saw 36 people spend the time in the Scottish Outer Hebrides.
A BBC spokeswoman said: "The feeling is that maybe Castaway needed to reach the audience in a different way. We are trying something new and it's actually getting an extra half-an-hour a week."
