Lauren Laverne is to leave the Xfm breakfast show after just 18 months to concentrate on television projects.
The presenter is currently on holiday, but the station has announced her departure and that she will not be returning. Paul Tonkinson will cover in her slot until a replacement is found.
Xfm London programme director Adam Uytman said: "Lauren is leaving Xfm to concentrate on her TV work."
"It has been fantastic to see her move up the schedule and host a great breakfast show for us. We wish her luck with her future projects," he added.
The lead singer of 90s indie band Kenickie, Laverne joined the GCap station five years ago before presenting the breakfast slot in October 2005.
Her Monday-Thursday show had 270,000 listeners in the final quarter of last year, down 1.8% on the same period in 2005.
On TV, she has presented on CD:UK, BBC Two's The Culture Show and Channel 4's Transmission.
