DJ Chris Moyles has agreed with the Arctic Monkeys over comments that they made about the music played on Radio 1.
Band members Alex Turner and Jamie Cook openly criticised English radio, saying that Radio 1 "plays crap".
The controversial DJ told listeners: "Jamie said English radio is terrible. I agree. And Radio 1 plays a load of crap music!"
However, he quickly qualified his statement, saying: "I think Radio 1 does play a lot of crap, but I will explain my outrageous statement.
"We play a lot of new music. You're not going to like everything. A lot of stuff on the playlist I don't like, it's not my thing.
"If you only liked R&B and listened to a station that only plays R&B, there's going to be some R&B you don't like."
