Fry given TV 'contribution' award

Stephen Fry has been awarded an Excellence in Broadcasting award by the Voice of the Listener and Viewer.
Fry accepted the award for his 'individial contribution to television' at the VLV's spring conference in London today.
Other TV awards handed out included best television programme for the BBC's Coast, with presenter Neil Oliver and series producer Steve Evanson collecting the award.
Planet Earth also received an award for best new television programme, with series producer Alistair Fothergill accepting the award.
The best new radio programme award went to John Humphrys for his In Search of God series for Radio 4.
The station's File on Four editor David Ross and presenter Jenny Cuffe also accepted the best radio programme award for the show.
Best individual contribution to radio went to broadcaster Eddie Mair, presenter of Radio 4's PM and podcast programme NewsPod.
