Former Virgin Media director of network scheduling and broadcasting David Booth has joined MTV Networks UK as its programming boss.
Booth will be responsible programming strategy and be involved in the commissioning process. He follows former vice-president of scheduling Rupert Morling, who left last year to join Discovery Networks.
Before Virgin Media TV, Booth was Channel 4's head of scheduling and strategy, and previously worked at the BBC across its digital channels.
Philip O'Ferrall has also joined MTV as vice-president, digital media. He will cover some of the role previously held by ex-vice president for commercial strategy and digital media Angel Gambino who left early this year.
Booth and O'Ferrall will be reporting to executive vice-president content and creative Heather Jones.
Earlier this month, the Viacom-owned group promoted Andra Shapiro and George Cheeks to the newly created positions of executive vice president business affairs and co-general counsel, report to MTV Networks chief operating officer, Rich Eigendorff.
Last month the company announced it was axing 250 jobs across its international operations. MTV Networks International employs over 3,000 staff worldwide.
