Super Bowl and NFL come to Absolute Radio

Absolute Radio has won exclusive radio rights to the NFL in the UK, including the Super Bowl.

The deal announced this week also includes the world-famous half-time show at the American Football playoff.

Commentator Darren Fletcher said: "Absolute Radio's already showed its sporting credentials with the brilliant Rock 'N' Roll Football and this is a great move for the station.

"NFL is an amazing spectacle and I'm really looking forward to the Wembley games and the Super Bowl.

"Absolute Radio listeners are going to love hearing all the action from America's biggest sport"

Absolute Radio 90s will broadcast 20 games across the season on Sunday nights between 9pm and midnight, fronted by Fox and Sky Sports broadcaster Adam Hunt.

The station will also broadcast live and exclusive radio commentary from the league's two Wembley Stadium fixtures on September 29 September and October 27.

Broadcasts kick off this weekend on Sunday, September 8 with Green Bay Packers versus the San Francisco 49ers.

Absolute Radio 90s is available nationwide on DAB across the UK, on Sky TV and via mobile phone listen apps.

Channel 4 recently announced the purchase of TV rights in the UK for the Super Bowl and NFL season.
