Earlier this morning (February 11), the pair met with Radio 1 DJs Nick Grimshaw and Fearne Cotton.

They also watched Tom Odell rehearse for his Live Lounge performance, and were invited to use the studio's camera that was used to record his gig later in the day.

A BBC insider said: "Camilla was better on the camera than Prince Charles as she was zooming in and out of the shots. Charles was really interested in chatting to Tom and finding out more about him."

Tom Odell said: "It was a really bizarre morning. He was really nice and interested in what we were doing. I performed a bit of 'Another Love' for him and he said, 'Give it some welly!' He was really cool.

"It was nerve-wracking enough to come and do the famous Radio 1 Live Lounge and then meeting royalty. Amazing!"

Cotton added: "An amazing morning! Something that doesn't happen every day and Camilla was great on the camera in the Live Lounge!"

Charles and Camilla also met staff at BBC Radios 2, 3, 4 and the World Service. They later visited commercial stations at Global Radio, including Classic FM, Heart and Capital, as well as Bauer Radio, home of Kiss FM.

During their day, they met with Radio 2's Chris Evans and Jo Whiley, Radio 1's Gemma Cairney, and Radio 4's Kirsty Young and Mishal Husain.
