Five could look for Endemol payout

Broadcaster Five is reported to be discussing a compensation claim with production company Endemol, following the suspension of daytime quiz show Brainteaser.
The show was pulled amid the controversies surrounding participation TV, which led to an investigation by Five and Endemol. It revealed fictional winner's names were posted on screen on five occasions when the production team at Endemol-owned Cheetah were unable to get the actual winners names from the telephony service provider's list.
The show, which is believed to have generated around £1 million and £2 million a year in phone revenues for Five, has been off air since March.
According to The Guardian, the broadcaster is now looking for compensation of the lost revenue. The show is one of 20 other shows that are currently part of an Ofcom investigation, of which Brainteaser is the only Five programme involved. Five and Endemol are also conducting their own internal review.
