ITV is to roll out its new website on June 12, with soap fans being the first to benefit from the video streaming 30-day catch-up service.
Drama, sport, lifestyle news and other programme genres will follow in subsequent weeks. ITV expects the rollout, which has reportedly cost around £20 million, to be completed by the end of next month.
Online simulcasts of ITV1, ITV2 and ITV3 will also feature, though some ITV4 content will be limited at first due to rights issues associated with the channel's US content.
The ITV.com bespoke media player will give viewers access to simulcast, previews and catch-ups within a 30-day window. Premium content will feature over time, including major sporting events.
Breakfast show GMTV will not feature as an online simulcast. ITV.com will show a "best of ITV" from the network's previous night's schedule from 6am-9.25am.
Look out for an interview with managing director of ITV Broadband, Annelies van de Belt, in the next few weeks on Digital Spy.
