Virgin 1's programming director Celia Taylor has promised to deliver "bold and brave" programming and a "liberating" on-demand strategy.
Taylor, speaking after the channel's acquisition of The Sarah Connor Chronicles was confirmed, said:
"We're going to commission the best US and UK producers to come up with bold and brave ideas that always have entertainment at their heart.
"But Virgin 1 is also about liberating our viewers with a compelling on-demand offer and exciting user generated content and broadband strategies."
