Published Monday, Jun 25 2007, 10:27 BST | By James Welsh

Meyern was previously business development director for the channel's advertising sales team. His new role will be based in the client solutions team which offers "bespoke, innovative solutions for the channel’s portfolio of advertisers and sponsors."
Before joining BBC World as a senior account executive in 1999 Meyern was a sales manager at NBC Sports.
"I am really excited about this new challenge," said Meyern. "BBC World has already developed some fantastic branded content relationships with Shell, Samsung and Credit Suisse, to name a few. I’m looking forward to working with clients on new branded concepts and as the media mix becomes ever more sophisticated, we are in a fantastic position to capitalise on the opportunities this presents."
