100 complaints over Sir Trev's Manning joke

100 complaints have been sent in to ITV and Ofcom over a joke made by Sir Trevor McDonald on his new ITV satire show.
During the first edition of News Knight, Sir Trevor introduced an item about the late Bernard Manning with the title: "This week's racist and dead." He added: "his week it's fat, narrow-minded comic Bernard Manning. I never thought he was a racist. I just thought he was a fat white bastard."
According to The Telegraph, 77 complaints were sent to ITV and 26 more to communications regulator Ofcom.
