'Tycoon' dips under 2m viewers

ITV1's Tycoon beat BBC Two's art history programme Paris by only 13,000 viewers last night.
Tycoon attracted a paltry 1.9m viewers at 9pm, equating to an 8.8% share for the timeslot. Top at 9pm was Channel 4's The F Word with 3.9 million viewers (a 17.8% share) with BBC One's Lenny's Britain coming second with 3.8m (17.5%).
ITV1 also performed poorly at 10pm, with Tough Gig pulling only 800,000 viewers - a 4% share in the slot. It went up against Big Brother on Channel 4, which resurged with 3.8m viewers and a 21% share, and BBC Two's Sensitive Skin which had 1.9m viewers and a 10% share. Between 10pm and 10:30, the Ten O'Clock News over on BBC One won its slot with 5.5m viewers and a 27% share.
The most-watched programme of the day by far, however, was BBC One's EastEnders which had 8m viewers and a 41% share at 7:30pm.
