Somethin' Else snares Tiger Aspect director

Production company Somethin' Else has appointed Jago Lee as its head of TV.
The newly-created role will support the company’s ongoing expansion and development in television. Lee will be responsible for business development and television production within the company’s Vision department.
Somethin’ Else recently merged its internal departments under Sound and Vision. Lee will work with he head of interactive, Simon Hopkins, to develop content across both traditional and emerging broadcast platforms.
Jez Nelson, creative director of Somethin’ Else, said: "Our ongoing strategy at Somethin’ Else is to develop innovative content across all platforms including TV, broadband, audio, games and mobile. With Jago’s extensive experience in both traditional TV production as well as emerging media output he will be a valuable addition to the team."
Lee joins Somethin’ Else from IMG Media owned Tiger Aspect where he was director of documentaries responsible for creating, developing and executive producing a range of factual projects for UK broadcasters including Channel 4's Mindshock: Sex On The Brain and Discovery's Gold Diggers.
He joined Tiger Aspect in 2004 as head of development. Prior to this he worked at independent production companies Diverse, The Chatterbox Partnership and Optomen.
Lee said: "Somethin' Else is a fantastically energised, pioneering production company. I'm keen to create television and multiplatform projects that test the boundaries of the possible, and can think of no company better positioned to develop and support this."
