Paramount promotes Baines to buying chief

Paramount Comedy has promoted Sarah Baines to head of acquisitions and digital media.
The newly created role will give Baines overall responsibility for acquisitions and digital media activity. John Turburville has also been appointed acquisitions and digital media assistant alongside her.
An former Nickelodeon buyer, Baines joined Paramount as acquisitions executive in 2005, and recently completed a deal with US cable network Comedy Central to bring The Sarah Silverman Programme to the UK.
