3m tune in for 'The One Show'

3m viewers tuned in to sample The One Show last night, according to overnight ratings figures.
The early-prime magazine show hosted by Adrian Chiles and Myleene Klass averaged a 16.7% share in its half-hour slot on BBC One at 7pm. During a four-week pilot of the show last year, where the show had Nadia Sawalha as co-host and a 35-minute slot, it averaged 3.4m viewers and a 19.5% share.
Over on ITV1, Emmerdale attracted 7m viewers, a 39.1% share. At 8pm, EastEnders on BBC One had just shy of 9m viewers and a 40% share in its 30-minute timeslot. A Panorama follow-up failed to retain much of its soap lead-in, however, drawing only 2.7m viewers and a 12% share.
At 9pm, BBC One's Fight For Life had 3.8m viewers and a 17% share, being beaten by ITV1's Time of Your Life with 4.1m viewers and a 19% share. Empire's Children on Channel 4 and 20th Century Battlefields on Two both topped the 2m mark.
Five's revamped Monday night lineup, which sports a new series of Megastructures, averaged a peaktime 4.5% share. The broadcaster's Five US channel boasted its best-ever figures with Dirt, Courteney Cox's new drama, averaging 615,000 viewers and a 3.4% share between 9pm and 10:10.
