Adam MacDonald has been appointed controller of daytime at ITV.
Currently head of daytime at Channel 4, MacDonald will oversee commissioning for daytime and factual commissions across the network.
MacDonald will report to Alison Sharman, ITV's director of factual and daytime. He replaces Liam Keelan, who is joining the BBC as controller of daytime.
MacDonald told Broadcast: "This is a good time to be joining ITV. All their channels are on the up and I’m greatly looking forward to the new adventures ahead with Alison Sharman, Simon Shaps and the rest of the team."
