Long-running series at the BBC could be uprooted to new locations.
According to reports, the corporation is undertaking a location review of its established shows.
The move could see EastEnders leave its Elstree Studios home for a new site at Pinewood Studios, with Casualty moving from Bristol to a new site in Wales.
The BBC told The Guardian that the review was in its early stages and that it was looking at a number of options.
"It is no secret that some of the accommodation could do with a change and with high definition coming in everything has to be looked at," the spokesperson told the publication.
