The European Radio Awards has signed two key sponsors for its inaugural prize giving in November.
Streaming service provider StreamTheWorld, which includes CBS Radio, Astral Radio, and Corus Radio among its clients, becomes an associate sponsor, putting its name to the event's Best Internet Radio award.
"StreamTheWorld is proud to associate itself with the ERA. As part of our initiative, StreamTheWorld is seeking to expand its involvement in the industry to recognise the talent on the air," said StreamTheWorld's executive vice president of business development, Eric Whitlock.
Radio industry website Radio Today also becomes an associate, sponsoring the Best Radio Industry Website Awards.
Roy Martin, site owner and founder of Radio Today said: "The ERAs are all about rewarding not only services to the industry, but the very best and most talented people in radio all over Europe - and we'll be there to cover that too."
Ian Carless, managing director of the European Radio Awards, said: "We’re extremely excited to have StreamTheWorld and Radio Today on board. As a young and dynamic company ourselves, we’re pleased to partner with companies who share the same pioneering spirit."
The European Radio Awards will take place November 5 as part of the 15th Annual NAB European Radio Conference in Barcelona. A total of 34 awards will be presented spread across ten categories. The closing date for entries is October 12.
