Discovery creates factual & lifestyle heads

Discovery Networks UK has promoted Dan Korn and Paul Welling to the newly created roles of head of factual and head of lifestyle.
Korn and Welling will oversee the factual and lifestyle programming strategy across the network's portfolio of channels.
Dan Brooke, general manager at Discovery Networks UK, said: "Dan and Paul are the finest Factual and Lifestyle programmers in the business and this new structure will enable us to harness their unique talents to maintain and strengthen our leadership position across these genres."
Korn joined Discovery in 2005 from UK independent production company 3BM Television, while Welling has been with the company since 1996 in various senior roles.
Rupert Morling continues as head of scheduling, with all three reporting directly to Brooke.
