Discovery launches Knowledge channel

Discovery Networks is to replace Discovery Civilisation with a new knowledge-based channel from November.
Discovery Knowledge will be aimed at 35-55 year old men, and will feature programmes focusing on history, natural history, engineering and crime. The channel will be run Discovery Networks UK's head of factual, Dan Korn
Content for Discovery Knowledge will include Tony Robinson's Time Team and documentaries What the Ancients Knew, World War I in Colour and Extreme Engineering.
Discovery Knowledge appears on Sky channel 522 and Virgin Media channel 217 from November 1.
