Lyons defends BBC staff

BBC Trust chairman Sir Michael Lyons has defended BBC staff following the corporation's admission of further editorial breaches last week.
Speaking on Radio 4's Today programme, he admitted that some BBC staff were not "playing fair with the public", but added that on the whole the majority had a "very clear understanding that deceit is out of the question".
Sir Michael added that the Trust had told the director general Mark Thompson at their meeting last week to "get a firm grip on this and put it behind us".
