New editor for 'Blue Peter'
Published Monday, Sep 24 2007, 16:50 BST | By Joanne Oatts

The move comes after the programme's cat-name controversy, one of a number of editorial breaches which the corporation admitted to last week.
Richard Deverell, controller of BBC Children's, said: "Blue Peter continues to be one of CBBC's most treasured programmes, inspiring children and enriching their lives. Tim is hugely talented and has great integrity and I've no doubt Blue Peter's appetite for challenge and adventure will flourish under his leadership."
Levell was previously editor of Newsround where he launched the programme's website. He has also worked for both BBC News and Sky News, having begun his career as a local radio reporter.
