CGI and special effects firm Impossible Pictures has made three key appointments across the company.
Liesel Evans has been appointed as an executive producer in factual. Evans has 18 years of factual experience and won an Emmy in 1992 for her documentary Angel of Death Row about Sister Helen Prejean, the death row nun who inspired the Hollywood film Dead Man Walking. She also produced the 1998 BAFTA and RTS award-winning series The Human Body presented by Robert Winston.
Evans will work with Impossible's founders Jasper James and Tim Haines on Ways to Save the Planet, as well as bringing projects through development into production.
James said: "Liesel brings a wealth of experience to the company and is perfectly placed to act as Impossible’s exec on a series as bold as Ways to Save the Planet. She brings different but complementary skills to the Impossible team and I am sure will also make a significant contribution to the ongoing growth of our production slate."
Sam Jukes-Adams has been made head of production across all the company’s output. Having worked with Impossible since its foundation in 2001, she was involved with on Walking with Beasts at the BBC, and has previously worked on Prehistoric Park and Space Odyssey.
Sheryl Trinh has been appointed company secretary, a role that will run in conjunction with her existing position as company manager.
The company, which is expected to achieve a turnover of £17 million this year, was most recently behind ITV1 drama Primeval and Ocean Odyssey for BBC.
