Phillis steps down at ITV

Sir Robert Phillis has left his post as an ITV non-executive board member due to a conflict of interest.
Phillis is chairman at production group All3Media, and according to Broadcast, has said it would be "inappropriate" to continue to serve on both boards with ITV Productions looking to increase its in-house output.
Having joined the ITV board in early February 2005, Phillis became chairman of the broadcaster's renumeration committee.
He will now be replaced by Baroness Usha Prashar, a First Civil Service Commissioner and chancellor of De Montfort University, who was appointed to the board at the same time as Phillis.
