The Pride of Britain was a ratings winner for ITV1 last night.
The awards show, which was presented by Carol Vorderman, grabbed a 6.7 million audience over 90 minutes from 9pm. This is the highest audience achieved by the awards since 2002.
The programme gave ITV1 a 30.1% audience share over that time, with BBC One's The Nature of Britain with Alan Titchmarsh attracting just 4.9 million and a 20.5% share over an hour from 9pm.
Heroes on BBC Two continues to do well, with 2.8 million viewers and a 12.1% share in the 9pm slot.
On Channel 4, the final Millionaires' Mission took 700,000 viewers at the same time, with Five's How to Have Sex after Marriage grabbing a few more with 1 million and a 4.3% share.
