The British Comedy Awards will reportedly not be shown by another broadcaster this year.
ITV, which has shown the awards for the past 17 years, has instructed law firm Olswang to investigate problems with voting in the 2005 Comedy Awards, and last month said it would be suspending its broadcast of the event this year as a result.
It had been suggested that Channel 4 and other broadcasters were looking into broadcasting the event, but according to Broadcast, the production company which produces the programme - Michael Hurll Television's Unique Communications - will still produce and record the ceremony and deliver the show to ITV under its contract.
