Jonathan Rogers to run ITV's digital channels
Published Tuesday, Oct 23 2007, 10:16 BST | By James Welsh
Jonathan Rogers is to take direct responsibility for running ITV's bouquet of digital channels.
He will oversee channel strategy, day to day performance and channel launches as additions to his existing remit as director of operations for ITV channels. Although channel controllers will continue to report directly to director of television Simon Shaps on programming issues, they will report to Rogers on all operational matters.
The move comes as part of a shake-up in ITV's strategy, consumer and channels teams. Tom Betts, currently chief operating officer at ITV Consumer, has been appointed commercial and acquisitions director reporting to director of strategy and development Carolyn Fairbairn. Betts will oversee ITV's mergers and acquisitions activity and represent the broadcaster on external boards.
Ben McOwen Wilson, currently director of strategy, will replace Betts as chief operating officer at the consumer division.
