Discovery appoints marketing vice pres

Discovery Networks UK has appointed Paul Wilson as its vice president of marketing.
He will develop and oversee all consumer and trade marketing strategies and lead marketing planning. He will reporting to marketing senior vice president Rebecca Rormark.
Wilson comes from Sky where he was head of marketing and product management for Sky+ and Multiroom.
Rormark commented: "Paul brings great strategic vision and valuable marketing experience to the role. His understanding of the multichannel business and extensive experience in marketing to consumers are second to none and I’m sure he’ll be a real asset to our business."
His responsibilities include development and execution of Discovery's franchise strategy including management of marketing campaigns across all media including outdoor, radio, television, press and online.
He was previously at Saatchi, Carat, Metro Goldywn Mayer and for two years at BBC Worldwide’s internet and interactive team.
He will start at Discovery on November 1.
