4oD agrees rights deal with FX
Channel 4 has agreed a rights deal to put FX shows on 4oD.

Thirty hours of programming a month will be available from November 26 through a dedicated FX-branded area of the service.

It will begin with shows including Kenny vs Spenny, The Newsroom and the Nominees, Charlie Jade and Murder by the Book, Urban Legends and Texas SWAT.

Popular FX shows including Dexter, The Wire, 24, Nip Tuck and Family Guy are not yet included but negotiations are ongoing.

Jason Thorp is managing director of FX parent Fox International Channels UK. He said the deal was "a significant transition in terms of third-party rights clearances, one that is becoming easier as the whole industry moves forward".

He added: "The FX 4oD offering will reflect the FX channel brand and the full breadth of quality programmes we broadcast on the linear channel as the service evolves."

FX shows will cost 99p per episode and must be viewed within 28 days. They will also disappear 48 hours after viewing starts.
