BBC Sport's Craig Doyle will leave the corporation and join the ITV Sport team next May.
Doyle has worked as a presenter and reporter for BBC Sport for the past four years and has presented coverage of events including the FA Cup and The Open.
"We're delighted to welcome Craig Doyle to ITV," said ITV director of news and sport Mark Sharman. "He has a distinctive presentation style and I've been impressed with his recent track record working on major events."
Doyle said: "After a busy start to 2008 working on the Six Nations it will be very exciting to be joining ITV at a time when live sport on the network will have such a high profile."
