ABC News Now will launch in the UK next year.
In the US, the 24-hour news channel goes out on broadband, digital satellite and digital cable. Today, Disney-ABC International Television announced that it will launch in Germany, Spain and Belgium on IPTV service Zattoo "with plans to reach additional countries, including the United
Kingdom, in the next six months".
Instead of offering rolling news coverage, ABC News Now delivers a headline roundup every half hour and longer specialist news programmes ranging from World Piece, where a single international news story is featured, to What's the Buzz, an entertainment news roundup. Pre-recorded programming is interrupted by breaking news coverage as warranted.
