'Europe Music Awards' top 2006 numbers

MTV has revealed that this year's Europe Music Awards significantly improved on the ratings achieved by the event in 2006.
The channel said that the premiere broadcast of the 2007 EMAs had a total reach of 743,000 viewers, up from 681,000 last year. 500,000 tuned in to MTV One's live coverage, up around 700% from the channel's slot average.
MTV said that the number of people watching on broadband was significantly up this year, with 115,000 MTV Overdrive streams recorded so far.
