BBC to air controversial Queen documentary

The BBC has confirmed that it will air a five-part RDF documentary looking at the life of the Queen despite the film's involvement in this year's infamous "Queengate" saga.
One month ago to the day, BBC One controller Peter Fincham resigned from his position after a report carried out by former BBC executive Will Wyatt criticised him for not at the first opportunity correcting the impression given by a mis-edited, RDF-provided promo for the programme that the monarch stormed out of a photo shoot in a bad mood.
BBC Vision controller Jana Bennett said: "I am delighted that we are going ahead with this series and bringing it to BBC One this year.
"There has never been any doubt about the integrity of the films themselves: they are a serious and important look at the way the monarchy works.
"With exceptional access, viewers will get a remarkable picture of the work of The Royal Family over the course of a year."
The series, now known as Monarchy: The Royal Family At Work, will air before Christmas.
