GMG Radio has appointed the Advertising Agency Register to handle a competitive pitch process for the Smooth Radio account.
Clear Marketing, which marketed the Smooth brand's launch and is involved with marketing GMG's Real and Century brands, will be re-pitching for the account.
Stuart Taylor, group commercial director at GMG Radio, explained: "Clear have done a great job across all our brands and in particular the launch of Smooth across the UK. As we plan to increase our marketing spend on Smooth significantly over the next couple of years and in particular across London we want to ensure we have the right creative marketing message that provides us with the most powerful proposition for the brand. Clear will be re-pitching for the Smooth business and we are delighted with that."
