BBC's Smith joins Shine

Karen Smith, the BBC's creative director of entertainment, is leaving to become Shine's first director of programmes.
She will take responsibility for leading entertainment, features and factual at the indie and report to chairman and chief executive Lis Murdoch.
Smith joined the BBC as a a producer in 2004 after working at Endemol UK.
Murdoch commented: "Due to the growth of our group it is now the right time to establish a director of programmes exclusively for Shine itself.
"I am confident the experience and enthusiasm Karen will bring to the team will be invaluable in the next phase of our development."
