14 executive producers have been appointed at the BBC's London factual production base.
Four of the new producers will act as specialist leads. Jane Aldous, currently creative director in documentaries and specialist features, will become specialist executive producer for documentaries. BBC consumer unit head Lisa Ausden will become specialist executive producer for consumer; Basil Comely, currently studio head for arts and editor of arts features will become specialist executive producer for the arts; and John Lynch, currently head of the science and history studio will become specialist executive producer for science. A specialist lead for history will be appointed in due course.
The remaining positions are titled creative executive producers and are: Andrew Cohen (Horizon editor); Tina Fletcher (creative director of music television at BBC Wales); Gary Hunter (Coast executive producer); Ann Laking (executive producer in science); Dinah Lord (See Hear executive producer); Nick Mirsky (Louis Theroux); Michael Mosley (Superstorm); David Okuefuna (editor in BBC Arts Studio); Kim Shillinglaw (commissioning executive producer for CBBC); and Clare Sillery (Dog Borstal).
