Shed Media is close to buying Wall To Wall for about £20 million, it has been reported.
The Who Do You Think You Are? producer was put up for sale in September.
The Times has said a deal could be completed this week.
It said Wall To Wall chief executive Alex Graham, a friend of Shed boss Eileen Gallagher, was expected to take a seat on Shed's board and stay for at least three years under the deal.
Shed has recently been looking to boost its profits with acquisitions and in September bought Twenty Twenty (The Choir, Brat Camp).
