ITV2 named media brand of the year

ITV2 has been named media brand of the year by Marketing magazine.
The channel was praised for its "distinctive brand proposition and identity", and for successfully targeting the advertiser-friendly 16-34 demographic.
The award caps a string of other honours given to the channel in 2007, including its first BAFTA and Royal Television Society awards for Entourage. It was also named channel of the year at the Broadcast Digital Awards.
"We’ve had a fantastic year and the marketing team has worked incredibly hard to bring the channel's brand to life," said ITV2 controller Zai Bennett. "I’m very much looking forward to continuing this commercial and creative success in 2008 with even more brand new distinctive programming on the channel."
